Day 85 GO DAWGS!

Got off work and drove straight to Atlanta last night. Kelly picked me up from work and we got her bout 1030pm. Today is Marybeth's Worlds Smallest Cocktail party for the GA/FLA game. I have been going to this party for the past 6 or 7 or 8 years, can't remember.  I will try to write later, but right now I have to get in the shower. GO DAWGS!!!

day 86 and 87

I couldn't blog last night because I stayed with Allie and did not have Internet access. SO I am now catching up....I have one piece of good news that stands out....I GOT MY CAR PAYMENT REDUCED!! yay!!! All I had to do was tell them, look I can't afford this payment, I make half as much as I did when I bought the car, therefore I need my car payment to be half the amount, and they gave me as close as they could and I am dancing on the ceiling! It went from $448 to $277!! They just extended my loan, woo hoo, now I can afford rent! My next step is to reduce my health insurance so I can afford gas and then reduce my cell phone so I can afford food....details details....I am on my way!

I went to church last night with Allie. Yes, on Tuesday night, it was supposedly a service that this Baptist church runs on the side that was described to me as my old "Buckhead church", so naturally I was in, I so miss Buckhead church, I mean who doesn't miss a live rock band/ comedy club AKA church. I loved it, it was a place I could go and sing my heart out, because the words were on the screen like a karaoke bar, but at this karaoke church I was most likely crying during 2 out of 3 songs....they were so awesomely moving and to listen to hundreds of others singing with you was beyond moving. There was a couple of times I was crying so hard, people were wondering who the unstable girl was sitting by herself....um yep that was me. So this experience was sorta like it, it was a beginners level of Buckhead Church, it was more like a class than a sermon. The dude had an eraser board behind him and read straight from the Bible, at first I didn't think he was all that, because Andy Stanly is so charismatic and funny and really gets through to everyone, even the people who zone out for a few minutes, he reiterates his message in a way that you still get it, even if you start thinking about what you are going to have for dinner on um Thursday. But, I did take away his message regardless....he said that he often feels angry because he feels out of control, and then Ged chimes in, if you feel out of control, than that would imply that your were once in control and guess what? you are not in control, I am. God is in control, you are not, let Him lead and stop being angry for no reason. Let go and Let God.  That's what I got out of it and I really did enjoy it, I will be back next Tuesday.

So today, I went running in the park after work. It was awesome, gorgeous weather and just went running like I used to (2 months ago) I was jammin out to my MP3 player and Prince's "Gett Off" came on, I was running and off course forgot that no one could hear this music except for me and just had to blurt out my fav part "I like em fat, I like em proud, ya gotta have a motha for me now move your big ass round this way so I can work on that zippa baby" and this bigger lady was standing on the other side of these bushes as I passed by, oooh boy she gave me a look! I just kept running and laughing, I can't believe that just happened, actually I can, its me however....sorry girl, I was just singing! Oh and I would like to give a shout out to Beth Browning, every time I hear that song I think of you!!! Can't wait until you and Stayce come and visit on November 11th! Brandy and I are saving y'all a seat on patio 457! (hey Nena and Amber, if you are reading this, maybe y'all should come too...just saying....

(yes I did go from church talk to Prince speak in one sitting, but I did have two days to make up for)

Day 85...Monday

Today was a good day, worked, realized that the girls are turning against me a work....its weird, we were all cool and then all of sudden they are giving me the cold shoulder, I expect getting the new girl cold shoulder for a few weeks, but they were all nice the second I met them and then BAM,  sudden snob vibes! I told Kelly about it and she immediately asked, are you building relationships with the guys in the office? yep, sure am, well there ya go, she said, instant cattiness. I guess she is right, I am a guy's girl, I like hanging out with them and leaving the drama behind and just being relaxed. Me and my 2 guys I coordinate do talk and crack up all day long in a very quiet office building, so I guess I am perceived as the fun girl with a scene of humor who likes discussing football....sorry girls, I am a cool, don't hate.

So Sarah pointed out that didn't give a follow-up on Brandy's date....here it is in a half-a-nutshell, he LOVED the dress, gave her all kinds of compliments, wined and dined her at the Olive Garden, they had a swell time and now she can take or leave him...she knows that he is Captain Play-Hard-To-Get, but little does he know, Brandy is not interested in chasing boys, because she has back-up...more on that later, my Tylenol PM is kicking in....

Day 84 weekend wrap up

Well that's a wrap on the weekend. I had plans Friday and Saturday and cancelled them to hunker down in the country for some R & R. I decided that until I stabalize I won't be doing a whole lotta socializing, I don't have the energy or the money. I spent the entire day preparing to be in Nashville all week and Atlanta all weekend. I am driving down with Kelly on Friday to go to Marybeth's World Smallest Cocktail party AKA GA/Florida game and then to a costume party. I also cut the grass and went to Wal-mart to buy food for the week. I literally have a cooler that I will keep in my car along with my 2 suitcases, hanging clothes and pretty much all of my belongings. Its an exhausting life but it could be much much worse. Brandy says "it takes an entire village of people to raise our girl" and she is right, (the list of people is endless that contribute one way or another to keep my head above water, so thank you, you know who you are) and then she said that if I weren't funny I would be screwed oh and that I am the villiage idiot....haha I laughed.

I have decided to retire from online dating after this douchebag said some less that gentleman-like-things to me....the things that he said to me were disgusting and I had know idea how to respond, so I gave the reigns to Brandy and let her set him straight. She blasted him over email, giving him the "Mama Brandy taking to" and made him look like an idiot. He responded by telling me he has seen better looking women in a nursing home. ha, whatever loser. I am over it, I am going back to meeting people the old fashion way.

My operation "not get fat" is not working out as planned. So I got fruits and veggies for the week and plan to work out everyday until my thighs stop expanding. I have got to get a routine down somehow. Its hard when you bounce around from location to location everyday and the fact that its dark by 6pm here. Allie and I have started to look for places online so maybe there is a light at the end of my nomad tunnel.

I don't have a lot to report since I basically did a whole lotta nothing this weekend. Brandy and the boys are in bed and its um 840pm....so I am gonna try and go to bed early too...night night.

Day 83.....101

I forget to mention that yesterday was my 100th post....so this blog is dedicated to the 2096 times it has been viewed. wow, thanks for keepin up with me y'all!  If I didn't have my blog to talk to I probably would be in therapy, so big preesh for saving me money that I don't have! I love talking to y'all everyday, seriously, I love that I get to carry on and on and not be interrupted.....awesomeness

I went to Kelly's last night and she wanted me to try on some of her Halloween costumes (she loves Halloween and has lots o costumes) I tried on this corset, I put it on and I turn to Kelly, "I love love love it!" she says, um its backwards and um upside down.....ha! well maybe that's how it should be worn then!

I am now back in Manchester hanging with Brandy, wanted to come home and just chill....we just watched Jersey Shore.. and now I gotta hit the sack!

day 82 victory!

First and foremost, we caught the mouse! He was in the closet stuck to the sticky trap....Brandy found him after I left for work. She said she pulled it off of the trap (he was still alive) and it bit her! Then she placed his sticky butt under a leaf hoping he would be fine. She really didn't want to kill the little guy. The last time Brandy tried to save an animal, it was a chipmunk, and it bit her as well, that was about 12 years ago and at that time she bashed its head in with a rock. So I think its safe to say that Brandy has come a long way....although, she may want to update her shots asap.

2nd, Brandy texted me while I was at work...".Hey girl, if you are looking for your bra, I found it in the driveway" lol, I knew I forgot something....
I am gonna have to talk about Brandy a little longer, for the past 2 days, she has been texting this boy non-stop, like all day and all night... she just sits over in her chair all gooned up, smiling from ear to ear the whole time, its crazy. She went on one date with this guy almost a year ago and it never went anywhere and now they are talking again. Brandy has like blue birds on her shoulder, she is almost skipping instead of walking over this guy. Brandy is usually like what you see is what you get and tough if you don't like it but not for this guy....
For example, he asked her out for Saturday night and he would like for her to wear a skirt or a dress. Ok well, Brandy does not own a skirt or a dress. She doesn't wear skirts or dresses, she wore a bowling shirt to our Sorority commencement ceremony for crying out loud. So guess what, she went out shopping today for a dress!!! She texted me a pic from the dressing room for my approval. Next, she got a spray tan!!! The same girl who gives me crap about having a tan during winter, got a spray tan today. Finally, she got her nails done, well that's not abnormal but still. Who is this girl and what has she done with my friend?! Brandy said if he stands her up he will be getting an invoice. Go girl, do your thing, be a girl, why the hell not.

At work today, they gave me a wireless ear piece for the phone, OMG, I feel like a badass when I have this thing on. I am strutting around my office and down the hall talking on it like I am a lawyer or something, I act like I am hot stuff and I love it. I feel so comfortable at work, I am totally myself and actually make things happen. I was feeling all cool with my ear piece in until I forgot I had it in and picked up the phone to call someone in one ear and the ear piece was in the other, of course Fred was looking right at me when I did this...I can't get away with anything....he had a little chuckle.

I would like to give a shout out to my Uncle Jim, I just got off the phone with him. (my dads bother) He just started reading my blog and says that I have the Baswell DNA, the Gypsy gene, my Granny had it, my dad has it, he has it and I have it. This is true, none of us can sit still, thanks guys. We have an appointment tomorrow at lunch to talk on the phone more, he said it is about time he gets to know his niece. We haven't exactly kept in touch like family should, so that stops right now.

Ok well, I  am gonna go out to my car and figure out what I am gonna wear tomorrow.....

day 81 hop, skip and jump across state lines

Well today was a trip! 6am start time

Met with my parents at 930am at Crackle Barrel. They look so good! Both look healthy and happy and that's all I can ask for. They got a juicer, cut out processed foods, drinks tons of green tea and it has really made a difference. Something to think about not gonna lie. They juice fruits and vegetables and use the pulp in the homemade bread that they now make on the reg. So the bread tastes like whatever they juiced that day and it full of vitamins and nutrients. All of the things that I just mentioned have changed their lives health wise, its awesome, I am thinking about making some changes for the better in that department. So Thank you Lord for keeping them on the up and up! They are both so funny and lovely, I just love them to pieces and pieces, I wish it were a longer visit but it will have to wait until Thanksgiving, their criminal daughter had to make her court appearance. Speaking of court appearances, that was an interesting experience. I arrive in downtown Atlanta, I pay to park in a garage, walk outside and start heading to the court house. I notice this homeless man talking to himself as he crosses the street, then I notice him walking towards me, as he is picking up speed I realize that he is now charging me with this crazy look. So I dart across the street not willing to wait and see what the hell he wanted but it scared the hell out of me. I took comfort in knowing that I was near a court of law, but still, it took me off guard. I reach the court room and the place is packed! Standing room only, I later found out that there was 343 people waiting to be judged. Geez! They start calling our names and we have to announce what we are pleading in front of everyone. I have a choice of guilty, not guilty bench (where I will need to go to a bench trial later that day) not guilty trial (where you can get a jury trial) or pre-trial (where you have to opportunity to talk to the officer who gave the ticket and try and get him to drop it), the court dude explains the "pre-trial" like this: if you were too emotional when you got pulled over and didn't really explain yourself very well while sitting on the side of the highway, thats when my ears perked up, that was totally me!! When the officer told me I couldn't drive anymore that day because my license was suspended, that I had to get someone to come and get me and someone else to drive my car or he was going to tow it and I had 15 minutes to make that happen, I sorta flipped out. First of all it was 9am, I was sitting in traffic and hadn't done a damn thing wrong, so for them to lay this on me, I freaked and starting crying uncontrollably, Marybeth was first on the scene to rescue me and she ended up talking to the cop because he claims that he couldn't understand me over all the blubbering, long story short, we called Josh as the other person and he was on his way, then we realized that if Josh came to the crime scene, then we would still have to leave a car behind, so Marybeth raced home, Josh picked her up there and then they both came and got me, meanwhile I was chilling on the side of 75N with blue lights behind me. Somehow we made this happen in record time and nothing was towed. But he did take my freakin license and I had to go get another one, hhhhmmm, if my license was "suspended" than why did the DMV give me another one that same day, because they are idiots and this is all a big misunderstanding and a mistake! Ok so back to court, I plead "pre-trial" and thanks goodness I did! My officer failed to appear and my cased was dismissed! Hahlalula! Free at last!!! That was the best new I heard all day!! So I skipped to my car and head back to TN.

On the way home I stop by Gary's and took Jake to get a bath at the City Dog Market. Since I was always in charge of giving him a bath, he hasn't had one since I left! So I had to hook the poor guy up, I yelled at Gary for being a negligent father and he claimed that Jake never asked for a bath therefore he didn't think he needed one. Um ok, I guess its Jake's fault then :)

So now I am back home, (end time 630pm) settling in, and guess what, I saw the mouse (I think, 99% positive) run underneath the closet door, so Brandy and I acted fast, she grabbed a sticky trap and placed in in the closet and I barricaded the door with a blanket, I stuffed it under the door so hopefully will have one stuck mouse conveniently concealed in the closet, fingers crossed!!

Well that is all, I must go and get ready to be gone for the rest of the week, tonight at Brandy's, tomorrow at Kelly's, Friday at Aimee's, Saturday at Kelley's and Sunday at Allies. Y'all don't be jealous now, I know how everyone secretly wants my nomad life. Never a dull moment!

day 80...rain rain go away

I am supposed to me in Atlanta, but its storming so I am gonna stay at Brandys tonight and go have breakfast with mi madre and padre..yay!!! Haven't seen them in 3 months! Then I get to go to court booooo! I get to drive all the way to Atlanta for running a cross walk 6 months ago and drive all the way back, I get to go explain to the judge that my license should of never been suspended because I paid my ticket! Sure I missed my court date by two day but I paid $300 for that mess and they suspended my license anyway, dirtbags! This is such a pain in the hoo haw! Hopefully it will all end well tomorrow and I can go about my crazy lifestyle. We shall see. I told my boss about my drug test and he didn't seem too worried about it but he will check into it and get back to me and that was it. He mentioned that I am getting a new computer soon so apparently he is not thinking he is gonna force me out of my job just cause I like a little codeine from time to time....just kidding. Okay that's all, I must got to bed, got an all day driving adventure I must rest up for...wish me luck!! Oh did I mention that I found $40 in my jacket pocket the other day, that will go toward my court fines...not food, not gas...court fines...I am such an accidental trouble maker....wonder what my back ground check looked like when I got this job....hhhhhmmmm....:)

Day 79 everything happens in 3s.....

Ok so Brandy let a little mouse in the house by leaving the door to the sun room open all night. (sorry girl, throwing you under the bus) And now we have this little guy flying through the house at mock speed. Brandy and I think he must be training for the mouse Olympics or something, because we have both seen him 2-3 times and he is always hauling ass! I get that he is running for his life and knows he is not wanted, but man this guy can fly! He likes chillin under the stove until we settle into the living room at night and the he makes a break for it down the hallway at around 80MPH. Brandy doesn't want to kill it, she is all humane and stuff, we tried leaving the door open and hoped it would take a hint, but nope, saw him last night. Brandy won't let me name it, she doesn't want to create any sort of relationship. So we got some mouse traps from Wal-Mart, I told her that unless she wants the mouse makin babies behind her
her walls, she will have to send put the little guy to death row. The traps are dangerous! They will take your finger and break it in two if you are not careful. The first pack that was purchased was a big fat fail because we are amateurs and wasted the traps on learning how to use them. We end up with one left, so we laid that out the night before last and that didn't work. On to plan B: sticky traps. This is where the mouse gets stuck on a piece of plastic and can’t go anywhere until someone removes it from the house. Well Brandy and I were not at all excited about this because she heard that mice will chew off their own legs in order to escape. Um yea, not excited about seeing an amputee mouse dragging itself across the floor and finding little chewed up mouse legs stuck to some plastic.
But we decided to give it a whirl, Brandy set one in the living room (where I sleep) so I spent the entire night checking to see if a mouse was stuck (I basically listened to every noise in the house and assumed all of them was a mouse being held against its will), so needless to say, I didn't sleep. The first time I spotted this guy, I screamed and scared Brandy to death, and she warned me not to do that again since her blood pressure spiked, her heart rate accelerated and it stayed like that for the next 20 minutes. I have been working on my knee jerk reactions upon seeing a mouse in the house. I got a thumbs up from Brandy last night when I calmly said, the mouse just ran down the hall.

Ok well I think you get the point, enough mouse chit chat....hopefully the little guy will take a sleigh ride into mouse heaven while I am gone :)

Now I am Aimees house, I just got a call from a Nurse that my drug test that I took for my new job tested positive for Codeine. Awesome, so now I get to go into work tomorrow with the intent of explaining to my boss the reasons of why I Codeine in my blood. I think it was Brandy's son’s prescription cough medicine, but to be perfectly honest who knows what’s floating around in my blood stream, I am an insomniac and take whatever I can get my hands on to get myself to sleep. It’s usually Nyquil, Tylenol PM, Advil PM, Sominex, Excedrin PM, etc...and I just wiped out an entire box of Mucinex of ever past three weeks, due to my cough, so who knows, I just hope I don’t lose my job tomorrow.

They say everything happens in 3's, so I guess was my 3rd.
1.Saturday flat tire 2. Sunday computer crash 3. Monday drug test compromised.

I am not going to freak out, I am going to plead my case and see what happens, some prayers and good thoughts are welcomed.

Day 78 computer died

aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! My laptop is dead. It just died, it won't turn on at all, WTF!! All I am doing is sitting at Brandy's house, minding my own business, my tire goes flat and my computer dies!!! If it weren't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all! Geez Louise, so I hijacked Brandy's laptop, I am upset!
Brandy and I decided that we need to whip up some drama, it was pretty quiet around here this weekend cause we had no drama to speak of. So that is our new assignment, whip up some drama this next week so we will have something to talk about next weekend. Not that Brandy and I have trouble with conversation, but a little controversy never hurts. So now I am gonna text this guy who lives in Manchester, he offered up his number on POF and now for the sake of conversation on patio 457 I am gonna text him...

Day 77 Saturday at my weekend home

Good Morning everyone! I got in about 7 last night, Brandy's Aunt and Uncle were here, so I couldn't break away to blog, so I will make this a 2 parter.

I now stay in various places during the week and Manchester is turning into my weekend home. Its kinda nice to spend the week working like a dog and come to the nice relaxing country for some R & R. (rest and more rest). I got up this morning, excited that I completed my first week at my new job. Woke up felling refreshed, poured me a cup of coffee, drank it while looking at Bessy and her clan while swinging on the swing taking in some country air. Then Brandy calls me from Wal-mart, "Hey girl, noticed that you have a flat tire, I am at wal-mart, getting you some fix-a-flat, we will pump it up and take it somewhere to have it fixed." Awesome. Dangit! There goes my rest and more rest Saturday. Well at least my Bestie is awesome and is already on it. I have no idea how to change a tire and I really would never like to know. I am stressed about my car payment, its too much!!! $448 a month is killing me! plus insurance, plus fix-a-flat.....I have got to figure out a way to lower my payment, or trade it in or hell just stop paying all together and let them come get it! I hear that they will come and tow it away free of charge, aw that is so nice of them, I would feel sorry for the poor guy who has to track me down....ha. Well needless to say my options must be explored sooner than later if I want to live on my own again. (I am open to suggestions, so speak up)

Well at least I have the DAWGS to look forward to tonight! Wish I was downtown Nashville, seeing as I work about a block from the Vanderbilt stadium, but I don't live a block away, so me and Brandy are gonna watch it here, and that sounds like a good plan to me! Sick em!! Ok that is all for now, gotta get dressed and deal with my tire situation....more later...

day 76 dexter

I just laid down to go to bed after watching 3 episodes of Dexter and realized I didn't blog today, so I go up went  to my car, got my charger and charged my computer. Here I am, the only thing that happened was that while I was in traffic this morning, dangerously close to being late because of traffic, was freaking out, yelling in my car, waiving my arms and inching over to the emergency lane to see how bad the traffic was ahead. All of a sudden, this truck behind me starts honking...I turn around and the driver of a utility truck tells me to calm down! I turn around and take his advise....my day was much better after I was put in check by a dude that was clearly not stressed and didn't see any reason why I should be. That was the Atlanta coming out in me and I silently thanked him for that. the Tylenol PM is telling me I must got to bed..good night...

day 75 Dug

Ok, I have gotten several texts about the spelling of Dugs name...I think that its hilarious that's that is what inquiring minds want answers on. I saw Doug's name pop up on Justins phone one time and I just got so tickled that it was spelled Dug, I told Brandy and we laughed, we don't know if that's how he thinks its spelled because he is so country or what, but it stuck and that's how we spell it, so that's the story.

Anyway, today was good, I am really liking it there. I feel so comfortable, its so crazy how different it is than when I worked at my last restoration gig with my devil boss. Its so refreshing to be in a professional environment, no one is yelling or cussing or making disgusting comments or watching me walk when I get up from my chair or commenting on my chest or telling me to shut the F up, I really will never take for granted how people with a conscience act. That said, I am just taking it all in and I am very happy with the fact that I actually know whats going on and can be helpful right off the bat. The two project managers that I share an office with are both great and funny smartasses so that helps, and we are already bustin each others chops.
The only spaswell thing I did today was while I was walking next to my boss down the hall, I was reading a document and forgot that there is one huge step down, so I sorta stumbled down this step, but I got my composure pretty quickly and everything was fine.

I had a nice lunch in the park down the street. I got some taco bell, went to Centennial Park and sat on the picnic bench. It was gorgeous outside, this pile of McDonald's french fries were on the ground, so this squirrel sat next to me and ate the fries while I mowed down a bean burrito all whlle a couple of Blue Jays flew in and out of the tree. I was quite lovely.

My new plan is Operation "not get fat". Now that I am not running around all day, instead sitting in the office with donuts and desserts coming into the office waiting for me in the kitchen, I am gonna have to really watch it.

Ok that is enough for now.....until next time....

Day 74...working 8 to 5 what a way to make a livin!

I made it to work on time! I had to leave the house at 6:10am to do so but I made it with 10 minutes to spare....um yea that's gonna get old quick! I am staying at Kelly's tonight, she is a good little hostess, we watched Dexter while eating pot roast that had been simmering in the crock pot all day.

Work was good, I locked myself in the bathroom. Yep, sure did. Why do things like this happen to me? I walk into the ladies bathroom and I lock the door. Its the kind of handle that you push in and turn like you do at your Great Aunts house. So, I try to ya know, open the door and it WON'T OPEN! I am now sweating because I feel like people can hear me trying to get out and can't and I am feeling embarrassed and finally I give it a hard twist and push and it opens after like 5 minites. I swing open the door and the janitor was standing outside the door, um were you just locked in there, yep, and walked away. Crisis adverted.

I go back to my desk, where my boss has me "auditing" old projects files. Um ok sure thing boss, no problem, I got this, let me just compare that shared profit margin against the profit & loss detail report and make sure it matches and if it does, double check it by multiplying the total of the contractors expenses and the material expenses with the gross profit and bam, you have the answer, and if if doesn't match, then I gotta find out why not, I just acted like I was in CSI and I was investigating a case, so it wasn't all that bad and well I may have just learned something, yeehaw. And earlier in the day, I got to pretend I was in NCIS, when they programmed my finger prints of my thumb, index and middle finger, so I would be able to access the front door. Pretty cool, I like have a high security clearance, maybe next week they will scan my retina so I can access the room where Gibbs is waiting to brief me on the latest murder on a secret Navy ship in the Indian ocean. I watch way too much TV.

Ok, must go to bed, gotta get up for an early meeting, man I love saying that.

P.S. Before I left work, I locked myself in the bathroom again....I wasn't going to say anything, but well it happened so ya know, I stand by my selective semi-full disclosure. (don't worry, my office manager rescued me this time)

Day 73 first day of my big girl job

It was good day! I was only 20 minutes late on my very first day. Turns out there is traffic in the morning, guess having a 10am start time was good time to stroll on into Nashville with no problems. After I apologized profusely for strolling in 20 minutes late, we got started. I basically sat there and let my boss give me a plethora of information (that's right I said plethora, I got a couple more 5 dollars words stored away for later)
The good news is is that I am familiar with most of whats going down thus far, being under rat-bastard Travis's care did have its benefits, except for now I get to go through work day without being sexually harassed and/or verbally abused, and I am gonna take that as a plus. I did have my handy dandy notebook out all day taking notes (the one that my peeps gave me in my TN survival kit when I left Atlanta) It was originally for blog notes, so therefore, the first page is actually some notes. When I returned to my desk the front cover had flipped open and on the first page its says, "cows humping" OMG!, did my boss see that? Oh well, didn't expect any "spaswellesque stuff" to come out on my first day, but it did.

Now I get to pack for the week, I am gonna stay up in Nashville one way or the other this week, so I don't have to sit in all that traffic. Good thing I went to the vintage store (aka the Goodwill) and loaded up on work clothes. Why have I been buying unused clothes all these years again??? I bought 4 tops and one pair of really cute pants for....$23!!! Holy crap, I am walking around wearing some broads clothes and I am ok with that. ok nite!

Day 72 lazy sunday

Ok came face to face with the guy I tried to drown. Yes, me and Brandy hung out with Justin and Dug yesterday. He apparently has forgiven me and we are all friends again. The foursome is back! We had so much fun on the farm. We didn't sit still for one second. If we werent riding on the gator and/or golf cart, we were hanging by a huge fire on Justin's property, or playing darts, or cooking chili dogs or playing charades. The country simpletons have never played charades EVER so it was quite an interesting event to say the least. We all wrote something on little pieces of paper, had to draw a piece of paper and act it out, one of mine was the movie "Tombstone" and Justin drew it BUT he thought it said TomTumb, so we spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out why Justin was making sounds like a Donkey (cause his Mule's name is Tom)but had a good laugh when we figured out what was going on. We met Justin's new baby mule and got a tour of his new property. He is now a homeowner on 5 acres, not to shabby of a trade off for having your house burn down when he was in Atlanta visiting me. Yep his house burnt down to the ground while he was away (electrical fire) and got an awesome fully furnished house out of it. Right before we left, Justin wanted us to see his "beach" he said he had beach front property in Tennessee, which turned out to be a picnic table in front of a creek layered with green gunk, ha, Brandy almost took a tumble in this small body of water. She and Dug were straddling the bench facing each other as we all talked, and Dug got up, Brandy shifted her weight and the end of the bench came flying up, it almost hit Brandy in the face and she almost tumbled backward into the creek, it was hilarious. She caught herself, but her face was priceless

So all in all, we had a good time and it was perfect weather. So now I am trying to relax but I really need to get ready for tomorrow. My first day of work. YAY

Day 71 end of first chapter in TN

So I just got home after my last double shift at the Brewery. I said good-bye to all my peeps and told everyone except my boss to not expect me in the morning. It was cool meeting all those people and I am sure I will hang out with them again. Mike D and I had fun all day, he gave me a kiss on the cheek and he was on his way. We have plans to hang out on the 30th and watch the Steelers play the Pats...so that will be something to look forward to. I am going to bed now, I have a big day tomorrow, gotta get ready for the farm and all and I have to catch up on some much needed sleep. Good night!

Dat 70

I gave my notice to Blackstone today. I asked if it was enough notice to go ahead and start my new gig on Monday. All he has to do is not put me on the schedule next week, done and done. But no, he says he needs a full 2 weeks notice. HA. Whatever, I am trying to do the right thing and give you notice and now you are forcing me to just not show up. Get a clue, I have been here for 2 months, I think 4 days notice is sufficient. So I am just not going to show up Saturday and instead have a weekend off before I start on Monday. I went and turned in my stuff to margaritaville after work and told them I would not be training and they were totally cool.

So Saturday, Brandy and I are going to the farm to visit Doug and Justin and go on a gator/golf cart ride...we are gonna try and make it a night like we used to have on the farm, just simple clean farm fun. Hopefully we can recreate that kinda awesomeness, we shall see.
(They don't know that I am going to insist that we watch the TN/GA game before going on the Gator....)

I just got done cleaning out my purse. I recently laid it in a sink at a public restroom and it was open and the faucet was automatic, so the water automatically turned on right in my purse. Yea, there was a good 1/2 inch of water at the bottom of my purse, awesome.

I am excited about my last double tomorrow, 12 hours of serving the people of Nashville, maybe Keith Urban will come in this time, I hear he frequents the area.

All of my friends at Blackstone are so happy for me, I am so fortunate to have already made friends who care about my well being. Thanks guys!

Ok thats that, Dexter is calling my name............

day 69 drum role please....

So I am not going to beat around the bush, I am just gonna cut to the chase and get right down to the point that the bottom line is.....I got a job today!! YAY me!

I got the job, with the Restoration company in Nashville!! This is the guy that I met out one night and he happened to be the General Manager for this company called Servepro (yes the same guy I randomly told that I tried to drown someone once) ooops. But who cares he hired me anyway!!! I get to be a big girl again and quit waiting tables yeehaw!

And Blake Shelton struts into Blackstone today!!! Only the hottest singer in Country Music!! Today is tripping me out! That will be the only thing that I will miss about waiting tables, running into random famous people while trying to act cool (that and Mike D of course)

I start Monday morning, so first things first, learn all the things that I said I knew how to do in the interview. I am firm believer in "fakin it til you make it", so first order of business learn Excel....better get to work.

The one draw back is its an office job, I am not used to sitting behind a desk all day. Hopefully I won't get too fat sitting on my hind end instead of running around in my Shape-ups. But who cares, I get my weekends back to watch football and visit Atlanta yay!

Ok so lets review, I moved to TN on July 15th. Got a job at Blackstone waiting tables, then got another job at Margaritaville, and BAM got a big girl job on 10/5/11 and now I won't have to work those two jobs at once. 2 1/2 months to find some direction, not to shabby. Thank you Brandy, without you I wouldn't of had a roof over my head so I could "make a way out of no way" like you told me to do. And now we move onto "operation get my own room" one with a door and everything.

Ok, I must start relaxing and Dexter is calling my name!

day 68 part 2...

Today was a good day...had a 4 hour orientation at Margaritaville, I am gonna like it there! Its gonna be like working at a carnival, music everywhere and all kinds of fun ooozzing out of this place!

I just left Blackstone and the kitchen guy "popcorn" says we gonna have to get you a phonebooth girl!

why I ask....so I will stop seeing you change in your car! aaaaahhhh! you saw me? he said yea, but nothin I haven't seen before...hahahaha,,,so I tell a few people what he said. and they are all like yea, I saw you the the other day, and yea I saw you today. aaaahhh!! oh no!

ok gotta go, Max is here and we are just friends BTW

day 68 orientation

Just got up, slept for 10 hours, that was nice. About to head back up to Nashville for orientation at my new job, Margaritaville, then I go into work at the other place at 3pm. Here is where it gets tricky. I get to train at the new place around the hours of the old place, so basically I will be working around the clock for the next couple of weeks. wooohoooo.

Marybeth asked if I huffed gas before I started writing my blogs, due to my grammatical and spelling errors being all horrendous and stuff :) Ha, I am guessing its not going to get any better due to the lack of sleep and all. Once I get a big girl job, I will revisit the basics on punctuation, subject/verb agreement and overall realization that certain words, although maybe be spelled the same and/or slightly different don't always mean the same thing. But for now, just muscle through it, as Brandy says she does when she reads it.

That is all for now folks, I will have a couple of hours to spare this afternoon in between stuff, so today will have a part two....I know you all will be on the edge of your seeeets :)

day 67 back in Manchester

Just to Brandy's, I have been on the road all week, so its nice to chill for a moment. Working around the clock and is down right exhausting. We played 20 questions all day at work, that should explain how busy we were. I am done with this place, I do way too much standing around for it to be worth my while. I am excited to get to a place with some atmosphere. Mike D and I are heading to Margaritaville and I am pumped .Allie made over $300 yesterday. We all give each other massages at work and it was my turn, so I was rubbing Mike D's shoulders and he turned to me and said "I would never sleep with your cousin" and that just warmed my heart. He calls me his boo. But we are just goofing around, he is my buddy, nothing more.

today I was eating my lunch with some folks and Kathleen comes storming in, Stephanie did you leave the empty coffee pot on the burner without any coffee in it? I was like why are you assuming it was me?? Cause you do stupid stuff all the time and its smells like you. (she was laughing when she said it) So I got all offended. Ok well it was me, so what, I forgot, so sue me :) But I never admitted it. Oh good Margaritaville just called I have orientation on Tuesday!! yay!

I really hope I get this job with the restoration company, I am ready for a big girl job. I am ready to have my weekends back and watch some football. Today I am watched the Dawgs beat up on Miss St. in silence, no one cares about the Dawgs at work and the sound is not even on...booo!!

BTW, what happened to the Braves?? They just collapsed!

I am so tired, hopefully my juices will be flowing tomorrow cause that is all I got for now. I am waiting on Brandy to get from dinner with family...
